Follow that crystal outline!
Antique Fancy
Non-round shapes such as Pear, Marquise, Oval, etc. cut prior to 1940 have some of the same features we associate with old cuts: most often an open culet, a blockier pavilion (thanks to short lower halves) and sometimes a taller crown and smaller table. In principle, the rough dictates the final outline and many times the result is a hybrid of standard shapes, for example the "Moval Cut" (Marquise + Oval).
As expected, sharp points are seldom seen and rather rounded from Bruting in the pre-forming process.
